City Clerk
The office of the City Clerk serves to assist and support the Office of the Mayor and the City Council. Many of the daily functions of the City of Columbiana are conducted through the City Clerk’s office. The Clerk is the custodian of records, serves in all Human Resource capacities, manages the financial accounts for the City, and manages the daily operation of the administrative offices at City Hall. The Clerk’s office is also responsible for elections and is the hub for all the Liberty Day planning and activities. Gina Antolini was appointed City Clerk of Columbiana in November 2006 after achieving Certification as a Municipal Clerk and re-appointed in November 2008. She served as Acting City Clerk from August 2004 until November 2006. She is a graduate of Shelby County High School and attended Birmingham Southern College prior to making a career move to Connecticut. Gina returned to Alabama when her family decided to relocate prior to her husband’s retirement. They have one daughter, Deidre, in college at University of Alabama in Huntsville.
