DEPARTMENT HEADS

Gina Antolini, City Clerk, was appointed by the City Council in November 2006 and re-appointed in November 2008.  Prior to her first appointment, Mrs. Antolini served as Acting City Clerk while working on her Municipal Clerk Certification.  Previously, Mrs. Antolini was employed with the City of Meriden, Meriden, CT, and the State of Alabama, Department of Examiners of Public Accounts.  She serves at the will of the City Council.

Lamar Vick, Police Chief, was appointed by the City Council in November 2008.  Prior to his appointment, Chief Vick served as acting Police Chief from April 2006 until his appointment in November.   He serves at the will of the Mayor.  

Hilry King, City Planner and Public Works Director , was appointed by the City Council in January 1990.  Prior to his appointment, Mr. King was employed for 35½ years with the Shelby County Highway Department.  He serves at the will of the City Council.

Jane Bailey is the Library Director.  Jane has been a resident of Columbiana for 30 years and served at the Columbiana Library building for the past 16 years.  She was raised and educated in Wyandotte, Michigan and is proficient in American Sign Language, which she often teaches at the library.  She and her husband, James, have three grown children and five grandchildren. 

Mike Atchison, City Judge, was appointed by the City Council in 1979.  Mr. Atchison is employed by Shelby County Abstract and Title Company, Inc. in Columbiana.  He serves at the will of the City Council.
