2020 Elections:
Election Day: August 25, 2020. All municipal elections are held at the Old Mill building, located at 105 West College Street, Columbiana. The polls will be open from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm on August 25, 2020.

Candidate Information
Qualifying Information:
Candidates may begin qualifying to run for municipal office at City Hall beginning July 7, 2020 at 8:00 am. All candidates must file a Statement of Economic Interests form with the Alabama Ethics Commission in order to appear on the ballot. Last day to qualify to run for municipal office is July 21, 2020 at 5:00 pm.

City Hall hours during the qualifying period of July 7, 2020 till July 21, 2020 will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 am till 5:00 pm.
Qualification of Candidates:
- Resident of the City of Columbiana City Limits for at least 90 days prior to election day.
- Registered Voter.
- Filed a Statement of Economic Interest Form with the Alabama Ethics Commission.
- Filed a Statement of Candidacy with the City Clerk and pay $50 qualifying fee (during the qualifying period listed above).
- Filed Fair Campaign Practices Act Forms (FCPA) with the Probate Judge.

Absentee Voting:
The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 5:00 pm.
Each Municipal Absentee Ballot Application must be returned to City Hall in person by the applicant or mailed to City Hall in separate envelopes to the following address:
