Housing Authority
Overview
The Columbiana Housing Authority is created under the authority of the Code of Alabama, 1975 for the purpose of insuring safe and sanitary conditions in public housing projects and community facilities established for the residents of the housing. The Authority consist of 5 members with 5-year terms (staggered) and appointed by the Mayor. Municipal Officials may not be board members. Statutory Authority: Section 24-1-20 through 24-1-45, Code of Alabama 1975.
